Torakan focus is on self defence karate more than competition karate, but we still like those shiny medals!
Torakan is so very proud of our students and their determination, dedication, sportsmanship and skill.

This was Torakan's second year participating in the the Northern Tas Championships, held in Sheffield. We had entries in the individual kata, group kata, games and kumite. The results were wonderful, with all our members putting 110% in - really showing how strong in technique, effort and focus our philosophy and training is. Team kata: Under 13yrs: Addison, Amy & Dougal - GOLD (See video below) Individual kata: Female 10/11yrs: Addison - GOLD (See video) Male 10/11yrs: Sean - BRONZE Male 10/1
This year Torakan participated in the the Northern Tas Championships, held in Sheffield. Will and Zarrek represented the senior students and Nel, Addie, Amy and Oliver went in for the juniors. All our guys did very well, and we are very proud, and they brought home 6 medals!
