Six week course starting on Wednesday 22nd of September, 12 till 1pm.

Mobility & Movement, Co-ordination, Health & Fitness, and Self-Defence Awareness for a More value filled life for Seniors.

This particular program is designed for older adults. Senior citizens are typically defined in Australia as people aged 60 or older.  However, this course is not exclusively for over 60s.

Your instructor, Thomas McKinnon, is the Chief Instructor of the Torakan Karate-Do School, but this is not a Karate class.  Thomas is a master in several martial arts, but this is not a martial arts course.  At 76 years of age, Thomas is probably what you would call a senior, but there is no requirement for you to be any particular age.

Mature adults who, for any of a multitude of reason, are not interested in being involved in sporting activity 'per say', might find that a mild physical environment, designed for mobility rather than vigorous, difficult physical exercise, as well as a sensible self-defence awareness, would find this course a perfect fit.

This course just might save your life, in more ways than one.
